On the 4th, we too Gideon to Monster Jam, which he has been wanting to see since he just turned two. Well, I expected it to be, ahem, perhaps not my cup of tea, but it was SO FUN. We had the most fabulous time, it really was a blast. I can't even say why it was so fun. Gideon was over it by intermission so we went home then, but for the time we were there, we really had so much fun.
Also, in the commercials they make it look like this is just full of thrills and spills, and as you can see in the 3rd photo, where one of the trucks is being righted again after tumping over, we did get a little taste of that, early on. Other than that one incident, though, it was basically just these cartoonish trucks driving around in circles. No crashes, no flipping, no explosions, no flames - just really, REALLY LOUD, and inexplicably, super duper fun!
