Across the street from Heinen Theater is a home for the homeless, complete with a cute little city park called Brennan Park and a really nice vegetable garden. The kids frolicked for a bit and we checked out their garden. They were growing broccoli, cabbage, what looked to be kale, lots of gorgeous lettuce and a ton of cilantro. I felt like Peter Rabbit, I just wanted to pick and nibble on all those tender, sweet, succulent leaves.
